It is an antihypertensive medicine .This medicine helps lower high blood pressure, reducing the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
Its a combination of three drugs: Losartan, Amlodipine, and Chlorthalidone. Losartan and Amlodipine relax blood vessels, while Chlorthalidone removes extra fluids and electrolytes through urine, ultimately relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.
Remember to take it as your doctor directs. If you have liver or kidney issues, or if youre pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor. Let your doctor know about other medications youre taking, especially for high blood pressure or heart conditions. Regular check-ups are essential to monitor blood pressure, kidney function, electrolyte levels, and blood sugar to ensure the medicine is working correctly.
How Trilosar 12.5 Tablet works
Trilosar 12.5 Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Losartan, Amlodipine and Chlorthalidone. Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) and Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (CCB). They work by widening and relaxing the blood vessels, thereby lowering blood pressure. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic which removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Over time it also works by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.
How To Use Trilosar 12.5 Tablet
- Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Trilosar 12.5 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
