How Scanil Gel works
Scanil Gel is a combination of three medicines: Extractum Cepae-Cepalin, Heparin and Allantoin. Extractum Cepae-Cepalin is an anti-scar medicine. It works by suppressing the activity of a chemical (PGF beta-1) which is involved in inflammation (swelling) and hypertrophic scarring process after injury. Heparin is an anticoagulant. It widens the blood vessels to dissolve blood clots and promote blood flow at the injured site. Allantoin is a skin protectant. It moisturizes the skin and relieves minor irritation.
How To Use Scanil Gel
- This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the gel. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.
